During the holidays it’s fun to decorate your coffee table with something a little larger and grander than we would normally display throughout the year. So for today’s blog installment, I have curated three different scenarios for styling coffee tables for Christmas; the first two using our Time Square Coffee Table and the last one using our Fifth Avenue Ottoman!
Glam Christmas Coffee Table
The black and white Vivi sofa is a perfect compliment to bright pops of color through accessories, such as throw pillows as well as the decorative items featured on the coffee table. When there is a connection of color between the two pieces, a sense of a cohesive space is created. For this particular styling session, I wanted to personify glamour so I went with pink accents all the way down to the Christmas gift centerpiece! I couldn’t resist the cake platter! The simplicity of this just felt so good.
Bold Christmas Coffee Table
Our black and white Vivi sofa is also a perfect compliment to the fiery and vibrant traditional red color. I really had a fun time incorporating drama into this coffee table styling scenario! One of my favorite things to do with throw pillows is to mix and match! And with a color palette of red, you have to be careful, but not so careful that you don’t have fun with the setup. For this shot, I mixed a solid red with our black and white polka dot pillow (please note the gorgeous yellow trim), a pop of gold, a little “Fa La La”, our small dot 22″ pillow and it all balances out. Then I topped the coffee table with bright red velvet Christmas trees, which add height to the grouping. The gold throw pillow and these adorable reindeer add the final touch. All in all, this room just screams Christmas, and in such a spectacular way!
Contemporary Christmas Coffee Table
Teal, red and white are not your usual Christmas colors, but this year try something new that these bright, vibrant colored fabrics provide. The tray is shown on our Fifth Avenue leopard ottoman. This combination of fun and festive throw pillows against our teal and velvet Blaike sofa sets a contemporary feel. Add some beautiful accessories atop the tray and voila! A luxurious and happy setting for the perfect Christmas. When styling this particular setup, I used battery operated taper candles from Target – this is always a must when placing candles on an ottoman. They make for a beautiful design accent, but don’t run the risk of being knocked over. I’m loving the reindeer this year…
Remember that design is always a personal choice, so be sure to select items that you love and have meaning when decorating for the Holidays… and with a little thought and guidance, you are sure to knock your Christmas home décor out of the park and get the perfect Christmas coffee table! Also, don’t forget the Fa-La-la!
