So, it’s that time again. Christmas is around the corner! Where does the year go? Don’t fret, on today’s blog post, I am sharing some really easy tips on how to decorate your home just in time for the Holidays – and the family to arrive!
We have all had those moments of staring into the abyss of boxes that are labeled “Holiday Decorations.” This year, rather than throwing them to the side, give those valuables a chance to be seen! Whether you are a fan of pretty little boxes with bows on them (because what’s not to love?) or can’t stop expanding upon your Nutcracker collection, there IS a space for all valuables in your Home Holiday décor… and we think Wall Shelves are where it’s at!
Wall shelves – never underestimate the power of a wall and just how great of a resource it is for displaying your favorite, pretty little things.
Earlier in the year, we shared some great tips on decorating your wall shelves with beautiful art pieces and decorative accessories (Read the full article HERE).
For the upcoming Holidays, we suggest swapping out the photo frames and year round objects for all of those special and festive accessories looking for a good (and temporary) home!
In this particular project, I gave my client’s Holiday decorations a new life by changing the space in which they normally place their Holiday décor this year. Incorporating your colorful and festive objects on wall shelves is a great way to blend your Holiday decorations into the décor aesthetic throughout the rest of your home without calling too much attention to just one space.
Design Tip: Remember to create an engaging visual interest by placing objects in different groupings amongst the shelves. Pairings of tall objects should go on the top, medium sized objects, such as pretty little boxes should go in the middle and smaller objects can be placed on the last shelf, evenly spaced.
Have fun and remember to send us your comments and photos from your own Wall Shelf Holiday Decorating projects!
